President's Message

How exciting to be the president of one of the most energetic and progressive garden clubs in California.  I just attended my first California Garden Club convention in June and was so proud to be a member of the Dos Valles Garden Club.  Dos Valles has the reputation of being creative, productive and dedicated to making our community a better place.  We are also known as a happy, closely knit group of people who have a lot of fun.

As I look over our membership roster, I am not surprised to see that in the past years most of our members have volunteered to take a leadership role in some capacity.  It has been easy to fill all of the committee chairs and appointments because everyone wants to be part of this great machine that has been running so smoothly for fifty-three years.

One of my objectives for the next year is to increase our membership and have many new gardeners and designers in training.  Invite your neighbors and friends to join this great group.  They will make lots of friends as Bob and I have since we moved to Valley Center five years ago.
