President's Message

Dos Valles Garden Club is 54 years old and going strong.  Our garden club is a very important member of the Valley Center community.  As a group, we have seen so many changes in our town.  It has morphed from a rustic rural retreat for the rich and famous in the 1950's to a thriving mini Las Vegas look-a-like.  In the next year, we hope to see the completion of the massive roadwork, maybe the addition of a regular-size market, and a return to our beautiful country living.

Our garden club welcomes new residents who come here to escape city life or the cold winters of the north and east.  We have a unique climate similar to South Africa which allows us to grow in our gardens many plants that newcomers may have only seen as houseplants.  Our wonderful greenhouse and propagation area allow us to teach people who are new to the area what to plant and how to make them grow.

Our beautiful award-winning flower show in April allows budding flower designers to practice their craft in a competitive setting and brings out the best in our horticultural green thumbs.  Dos Valles Garden Club is the perfect social setting for retirees who are no longer raising families and would like to make something grow that they don't have to put through college. 

We welcome anybody interested in gardening and floral design.
