Dos Valles Designer's Workshops
Flower design educational programs for club members
4th Tuesday of the month, 9:30 a.m., Valley Center Library

September 25 - "The Mechanics of Design" with Pauline Sechi.
The first of a series of three workshops. Prior registration is required. Materials furnished.
Principles and elements of design, containers, tool kit and ways of conditioning different plant material.
Bring your own container.
October 23 - "Choose Your Line" with Pauline Sechi.
The second in a series of three workshops. Manipulating and abstracting plant material.
Prior registration is required. Materials furnished.
November 27 - "Working with Titles" with Pauline Sechi.
The last in a series of three workshops.
Designers will bring their own containers/plant materials
and choose their type of design from titles given by Pauline.
Completed designs will be critiqued.
January 22 - "Building What the Judges Want" with Marcia Townsend
Bring your own materials.
February 26 - "New Design Categories" with George Speer, Jr.
Bring your own materials.
March 25 - "So You Want to Win a Blue Ribbon" with Velma West.
Bring your own materials.

October 1 - "It's Only Natural" presented by Noel Tribbey, AIFD
Stunning floral decor for large resorts from Las Vegas to Maui.
November 5 - Velma West.
Award winning floral designer and instructor.
December 3 - Bob Gordon, AIFD, San Luis Obispo.
A perennial favorite doing what he does best--decorating for Christmas.
January 7 - Jackie Zhang, Master Teacher in Ikebana.
New styles are happening in Ikebana.
Jackie will take us through the traditional, classic Ikebana to the new free style designs.
February 4 - "Handbook Designs" presented by Palomar District Designers.
They will share the old and new designs from 2007 Revised CGCI Handbook for Flower Shows.
March 3 - I'm Being Framed" presented by Gudi Kimmel.
Gudi is an award winning designer and instructor and NCGI Master Flower Show Judge.
April 7 - Mary Poyphess, aka "The Texas Bluebonnet"
Mary will share her years of designing and instructing with garden clubs in many states and countries.
May 5 - "Flower Power" presented by Palomar District Designers.
The fun and creative talents of these designers will become apparent as they work with non-revealed materials.
